For many years, Toyota has been and remains a leader in the world of electric vehicles. Aligning with its goal of achieving carbon-neutral through its technology and vehicles, the brand recently debuted the Toyota bZ4X Concept. The all-electric SUV concept is a major step forward for Toyota and joins a large existing lineup of electric vehicles.
“The Toyota bZ4X concept points to yet another option in our already robust electrified portfolio,” said Bob Carter, TMNA executive vice president of sales. “At Toyota, we are a human-centered company – the customer is our CEO and will ultimately decide which technologies will carry us toward a carbon-neutral future. With investments and product offerings across the spectrum of electrification, we intend to be there with products and technologies that meet the diverse needs of customers around the world.”
The new concept will sit under the “Toyota bZ” (or “Beyond Zero”) brand umbrella. The idea of “Beyond Zero” comes from Toyota’s commitment to creating 15 BEVs by 2025. The bZ4X is a joint venture with Subaru and was built on the new e-TNGA BEV-dedicated platform, which utilizes various battery units and motors for optimal efficiency.
While the Toyota bZ4X likely won’t go on sale until at least the middle of 2022, our team at High River Toyota is very excited to see this development in the works. If you’re interested in test-driving an electric or hybrid vehicle to see what the buzz is about, contact our team.
