Toyota Canada COVID-19 Response: How the Brand Is Helping Communities

For the past month, the world has ground to a halt. Countries around the world have gone on lockdown due to COVID-19, disrupting lives and affecting communities. Toyota Canada is making strides to help support their own communities, though. These are some aspects of the Toyota Canada COVID-19 response.

Offering payment relief. Toyota Financial Services is helping their customers in these exceptional circumstances, allowing them to request payment relief. Simply call the customer service department at 1-800-661-3062 to see if your case is eligible. The company is also being flexible in granting lease-end extensions if your lease is coming due.

Donating medical necessities. With the shortage of Personal Protective Equipment around the world, Toyota Motor Manufacturing Canada has donated approximately 1,000 NIOSH-certified N95 ventilator masks to four local hospitals. The carmaker has also donated gloves, protective eyewear, and sanitary boot protectors.

Manufacturing necessities. TMMC is also working with a 3D printing company called Inksmith to create protective face masks using six 3D printers. It’s also connecting with industrial partners and governments to come up with a plan to produce components used in medical equipment, including ventilators. 

Developing infrastructure. TMMC is also offering the expertise of its Toyota Production System to help manufacturing and technology companies improve the testing infrastructure for COVID-19.
