There are few cars that can offer you a better, more affordable driving experience than the 2021 Toyota GR Supra. Toyota is offering this performance-oriented car in three trim levels at competitive prices, making it possible to get track-honed power without sacrificing your budget.
For the 2021 model year, the GR Supra 3.0’s engine has undergone a rebuild with its engineers adding a new piston design and a dual-branch exhaust manifold. With these enhancements, this turbocharged engine will put out up to 382 horsepower – an increase from last year’s 335 horsepower. It is also expected to lower the Supra’s 0-96 km/h time to 3.9 seconds. Toyota has also retuned the GR Supra 3.0 handling, allowing it to take on corners tighter and with more control.
Joining the Supra 3.0 this year will be the GR Supra 2.0. This all-new model is the entry-level option, giving you an option between the Toyota 86 and the GR Supra 3.0. It has a 2.0-litre inline-four turbocharged engine that yields 255 horsepower. This model also weighs approximately 200 pounds less than the GR Supra 3.0.
Inside the GR Supra, a driver-focused cabin enhances the driving experience. Its open, roomy design has seats with integrated head restraints and adjustable side bolsters for optimal comfort. This model also comes with a range of connectivity features, including the game-changing Toyota Supra Connect.

Toyota is determined on breaking records in the performance vehicle market with the 2020 Toyota GR Supra. That’s why it comes as no surprise that, earlier this year, the 2020 GR Supra earned the title of Best Sports-Performance Car in Canada from the Automobile Journalists Association of Canada, putting it in the running for the 2020 Canadian Car of the Year trophy.
“The 2020 Toyota GR Supra is the sports car that enthusiasts were waiting for – with an exhilarating combination of power, precision, and agility wrapped in aggressive coupe styling and enhanced with an impressive list of premium comfort and convenience features and technologies,” said Cyril Dimitris, Vice President of Toyota Canada Inc.
To earn the title of Best Sports-Performance Car, the GR Supra beat out its competitors in a comparison that examined the eligible vehicles’ styling, cockpit, entertainment features, cargo, performance, and vehicle dynamics. It beat out the second-place Hyundai Veloster N by a solid 15 points, highlighting its superiority.
The Supra first returned to Canadian showrooms in 2019 after a 20-year hiatus, turning heads with its fully loaded athleticism and breaking records on Track Days. Its aggressive styling helps the GR Supra stand out from other performance vehicles.
