2023 Toyota Highlander | High River, AB

The Highlander is the ideal Toyota SUV for growing families or those who just want a bit more space for hauling cargo. As Toyota continues to improve its lineup, the 2023 Highlander arrives with a host of new features and performance updates.

Performance

The 2023 Highlander will be available with a hybrid powertrain as well as a gas-powered option. All gas models have received a new, turbocharged V6 engine that offers 17% more torque than the outgoing engine. This new engine is also eco-friendlier, emitting 50% fewer emissions. The Highlander Hybrid offers an incredible 6.7 L/100 km combined and features regenerative braking to help capture more energy for fewer stops at the pump.[1]

Technology

The new Toyota Multimedia system is standard on all grades of the 2023 Highlander. The base model has an 8-inch display with the option of upgrading to an expansive 12.3-inch touch screen. This new system includes enhanced connectivity and convenience via features like Over-the-Air (OTA) updates and an Intelligent Assistant. By saying “Hey Toyota,” you can use natural voice commands for things like directions, hands-free text messaging, and more.

Convenience

You’ll find a variety of convenient features on the new Toyota Highlander, too. A hands-free power liftgate is available on all grades, making it easy to load and unload cargo into the SUV. That amenity and rain-sensing wipers are standard on the Bronze Edition model, which also comes with captain’s chairs and premium seating materials with bronze-coloured stitching.

2020 Toyota Lineup | Calgary, AB

The New Year is almost upon us, which means car brands around the world are introducing their newest models — and Toyota is no exception. From an increase in eco-friendly models to more vehicle options, these are some 2020 Toyota lineup updates you can expect this year.

An Eco-Friendly Corolla

For the 2020 model year, you will have more Toyota hybrid options than ever before. That’s because the world’s most popular sedan — the Toyota Corolla — is now available as a hybrid model. The 2020 Corolla Hybrid combines an electric motor with a 1.8-litre four-cylinder engine to offer 121 horsepower and a 4.5 L/100 km combined fuel-efficiency rating.*

The Super Supra

After being discontinued 16 years ago, one of Toyota’s most beloved performance options is back. The brand reintroduced the Supra to its lineup, offering state-of-the-art features and technologies in a sporty package. This vehicle comes with a front-mounted 3.0-litre turbocharged V6 engine, providing you with the power you expect from a performance-oriented ride.

Going dark

Select models in the 2020 Toyota lineup are now available as Nightshade Editions. This special-edition model offers dark interior and exterior accents to add an intimidating look to Toyota vehicles. The models that this is offered on include the Corolla, 4Runner, Highlander, and Sienna.

All-New 2020 Toyota Highlander Debut Takes Place in New York

2020 Toyota Highlander | High River Toyota | High River, AB

When it was first introduced in 2001, the Toyota Highlander redefined the midsize family SUV segment. Now, it’s continuing to do so again with the all-new 2020 model.

The 2020 Toyota Highlander, which debuted earlier this year at the New York International Auto Show, offers a bold new style, innovative safety features, a long list of technologies, and five trim levels to choose from, including the new base L grade, LE, XLE, Limited, and Platinum.

For the 2020 model year, the Highlander also comes with a new vehicle platform called the Toyota New Global Architecture (TNGA-K). This foundation is more robust and provides a smoother, safer ride for consumers.

The fourth-generation Highlander will offer two powertrain options – a V6 or a hybrid. The V6 engine will offer an estimated fuel-efficiency rating of 10.7 L/100 km combined,* while the hybrid powertrain will offer 6.9 L/100 km combined.

Safety-wise, the new Highlander will come standard with the Toyota Safety Sense 2.0 suite of safety technologies. This means every model will come with a Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection, Full-Speed Range Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist, Automatic High Beams, and the new Lane Tracing Assist technology.

Other available features include a 12.3-inch touchscreen display, a new JBL Premium Sound System, and the choice of three available all-wheel-drive systems.
