The Toyota Camry is turning 37 – and this year might be its best yet. Toyota recently introduced the 2021 Toyota Camry, offering ground-breaking driver-assistance technologies, new styling, and even more trim options.
For the 2021 model year, the Camry will come with a newly restyled front end. It will have a more defined lower intake area, while the SE and XSE grades will flaunt a honeycomb-style grille and side vent inserts. The 2021 Camry will also come available as a new, eco-friendly trim: the XSE Hybrid.
Along with more trim configurations and a new look, the 2021 Camry will now offer the all-new Toyota Safety Sense® 2.5+ package – and is the first Toyota to do so. This suite of safety technologies offers enhanced features beyond the prior package, including the addition of intersection support for the Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection, so that the system can detect an oncoming vehicle or pedestrian when turning left. The 2021 Camry will also come standard with Rear Seat Reminder and Automatic High Beams.
Other updates for this Toyota sedan include floating seven- and nine-inch touch screen displays, luxurious herringbone pattern seats on the XLE trim, a revised interior design, and new exterior colours.

The Insurance Bureau of Canada is looking to increase the awareness of a scam that could be costing you money. Throughout Alberta, people are staging automotive collisions in the hopes of getting insurance money back – but they’re not just affecting those that are involved in the accidents.
In this scam, a driver will deliberately cause an accident
by stopping quickly with no indication of doing so, causing the driver behind
them to hit them from behind. The aim of this swindle is to collect insurance
money for the victim.
It can become costly for you, though. If you factor in the
emergency services, towing, insurance, and medical claims made in regard to the
accident, the money can really add up – even if you’re not part of the accident
“These collisions are false, they are fabricated, and they
translate into Albertan’s paying a price in the form of higher taxes to pay for
police, fire, [and] ambulance to attend the scene,” said Henry Tso, vice
president of investigative services. He also pointed out that it results in
significantly higher insurance costs.
So, how can you avoid this scam? One of the best ways is to
practice defensive driving and keeping plenty of space between you and the
vehicle in front of you. Another way is to utilize a dashboard camera to
capture any potential collisions for evidence should this incident occur.

shopping for a new vehicle, it’s likely you want a car that’s the best of the
best – and what better way to judge a vehicle than by the awards it has
received? If you happen to be looking for a midsize sedan, then look no further
than the Toyota Camry. This car has earned many accolades over the past few
years. Here are just a few of its more recent ones.
2019 IIHS Top Safety Pick
Safety is a top priority for Toyota, which is why it should come as no surprise that the 2019 Toyota Camry was recently given the title of Top Safety Pick from the Insurance Institute of Highway Safety (IIHS). Winning vehicles must earn ‘good’ ratings for five of the six crashworthiness tests the IIHS puts them through and an ‘acceptable’ or higher on the newest passenger-side small overlap front crash test.
2019 Canadian Black Book Best Retained Value
The Toyota Camry was recently awarded the top spot in the midsize car segment in the Canadian Black Book Best Retained Value Awards. This is the fourth year in a row that the Camry has been honoured with this award in its segment. To earn this award, a vehicle must demonstrate its ability to keep its value over the course of four years.
