Introducing the Tundra Capstone

2022 Toyota Tundra | High River, AB

The introduction of the 2022 Toyota Tundra has been especially exciting because it marks the beginning of a new generation for this adventurous truck. Toyota is now debuting the new Tundra Capstone grade that elevates the truck-driving experience even further.

Leveled Up Luxury

On the outside, the Tundra Capstone is outfitted with eye-catching 22-inch chrome rims, a unique grille, chrome mirror caps, and chrome “TUNDRA” tailgate inserts, among other chrome detailing. To help you get inside, the automatic running boards will pop out for a step up. Once inside, you’ll be greeted by a handful of luxury features made from high-quality materials, like semi-aniline leather-trimmed seats, an open-pore Dark American Walnut finish on the centre console and dash, and a panoramic moonroof.

Toughness Comes Standard

Even though it sports a premium look, the Tundra Capstone is still a tough truck. It’s powered by the new i-FORCE MAX hybrid powertrain that generates up to 437 horsepower and 583 lb-ft of torque. The twin-turbo V6 engine is mated to a smooth-shifting 10-speed automatic transmission for maximum efficiency and performance. All things considered, you can tow up to 4,690 kg with the Tundra Capstone.

The Security of Safety Sense

Just like all other 2022 Tundra models, the Capstone model is equipped with standard Toyota Safety Sense 2.5. This includes driver-assist features like Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection and many other helpful systems. Additionally, the Tundra Capstone comes with Toyota’s Rear Seat Reminder that lets you know if anything is still in the back when the engine is turned off.

These are just some of the highlights of the 2022 Toyota Tundra Capstone, arriving at Canadian dealerships this spring. Contact our team at High River Toyota in Alberta for more details.

Tips for Easter Dinner and Your Toyota

2022 Toyota Sequoia | High River, AB

Easter is just around the corner and other than spending time with family, one of the most enjoyable traditions is eating a delicious meal. If you plan on traveling somewhere with food in the car, we’ve put together these tips for transporting Easter dinner in your Toyota.

Slow Cooker Travel Tips

A slow cooker, like the Crockpot™, is helpful for cooking a large, delicious meal. But when you transport one of these that is full of hot food, the lid can become loose and cause its contents to spill in your car. First, try finding a slow cooker with a locking lid. If you don’t have a locking lid, try wrapping the slow cooker in towels and wedge it in place between the front- and second-row seats on the floor.

Hot Casserole Travel Tips

A casserole dish can have a similar issue as a crock-pot when it comes to loose lids. However, most casserole dishes are less soup-y and can withstand a few tiny bumps in the road. But to help keep it hot on the way to your destination, place it in an insulated bag or wrap it in towels to keep the heat in as much as possible.

Cold Food Travel Tips

For short trips, transporting cold food is a breeze; just keep the lid on and try to avoid blasting the heat in your car. But if you’re traveling further than a 10-minute drive, consider placing the cold food item container on ice in a cooler to keep it fresh.

Here at High River Toyota, we wish you a Happy Easter and hope you stay safe during all of your traveling.
